I can’t imagine how it must be to exit your home knowing pretty sure if this crazy thing doesn’t work you will be at least shot and killed or maybe taken and tortured and your relatives too when they identify you - all because you are so desperate for a change and hope. The movie is more and more relevant by the day. But the link to Guy Fawkes is so ironic if you really know his history. In modern terms, he was a radicalized convert who left his homeland to go fight in a religious war in another country, where he went as far as changing his name to a more local and fitting one. There he was betrayed by one of his plotters and arrested while attempting to blow up the House of Lords. He died while they were getting to ready to execute him by being Hung, Drawn and, Quartered. Make him Muslim, fighting for ISIS in Iraq after changing his name, and he'd be yesterdays news.

You know what i like about the scene besides the symbolism is Finch was the last bit of the regime that could have stopped this. He had Evey dead to rights and even ordered her to remove her hands. But we know that Finch was the one V could trust with information and we know Finch wanted to do the right thing throughout the move. 1:25 when he dropped his gun was the moment the Norsefire regime died
